Would you like to know more about business opportunities in the sports industry in France? And are you curious about your chances in the run-up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris? Then sign up for the physical trade mission from September 27 to 29, 2022.
After exactly 100 years, the Olympic Games return to Paris. From July 26 to August 11, 2024, the city will be dominated by the largest sporting event in the world. France presents Paris in 2024 as an example of the European city of the future. A sustainable and socially inclusive city: accessible to everyone and CO 2 neutral by 2050. Preparations to organize the most sustainable games are in full swing.
This mission takes you into the trend, the market opportunities and the tenders surrounding the Olympic Games. Within the program you will network extensively with potential customers, business partners and public stakeholders.
Why Paris and Grand-Paris?
No less than 80% of all competition locations are located within a radius of 10 kilometers around the Olympic and Paralympic village. The Olympic Village is located about 7 km north of the center of Paris, in Seine-Saint-Denis. It is also less than 2 km from the Stade de France. About 85% of all athletes stay less than 30 minutes from their competition locations.
At the moment, tenders have only been published for certain Olympic centers and for the equipment for the sailing events (Marseille). The majority of all tenders for the training and competition locations have not yet been published. There are many opportunities for the Netherlands to connect to this!
The organizing committee 'Paris 2024' does not yet have an official timetable for these tenders. The Dutch embassy in Paris sends out a newsletter about the Olympic Games in 2024 every 2 weeks. Here you can read important updates about tenders and developments.
